The Indian Spirit’s production life was short, but sweet. The Spirit first made an appearance near the turn of the century, back in 2001. Many people expected the 21st century to bring flying cars and housing on the moon. But, what we saw in the Indian Spirit was actually beautifully nostalgic. These bikes held all of that traditional Indian charm and they laid it on a smooth, capable motorcycle. Many would say the styling is similar to that of a Scout, if the Scout was a little bigger and dressed in its Sunday best. But, despite its classic charm and easy handling, this bike’s production life was cut short. After just a couple years, they were discontinued. It’s been many years now since these bikes were produced; but just like a restless spirit, these bikes will still be seen from time to time, there and gone again in the blink of an eye.
