what does D402 stand for ?
A shopper on Aug 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: D402 is just a tire line that refers to the line of tires that is approved for certain model year Harley-Davidson motorcycles. If you have a heavy touring bike you should use this tire over the D404. They both come in similar sizes, but you must look at the last codes of the tire sizes like 74H or 67H to determine what you should use, look at what your owners manual recommends. Using underrated tires can cause a disaster on the street. I hope this helps.
I have a stock 1995 Ultra Classic, will this tire fit?
A shopper on Jun 17, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No. Your bike uses 130 mm. Tha letters M.U. stand for 140 mm. The 140 mm. Tire might rub your belt.
Can I put a wider tire on my 99 wigeglide than a 130 ?
A shopper on Jul 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You might be able to fit a MU85 which is a 140 tire but you need to check how much clearance you have between the belt and the 130 you have on there now. If the belt is touching now you're sol. If you can fit a finger between the tire and belt with the 130, you will probably be ok with a 140. Stiff Cycle

the B stands for Bias ply construction
Does it comes with the inner tube?

Are these the Harley edition like original equipt.?
George D on Jul 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Actually I think they are better. We never got the miles on the stock tires having to replace them every other year. The handling on these tires is better and after coming back from the Dragon's Tail in Tennessee I think we will get many more miles out of them too. I hope this helps you decide but we are satisfied.
Does this tire have HARLEY DAVIDSON written/engraved into the white sidewall with a small bar and shield logo before the word HARLEY? Would have been nice to include that info with the description of the tire, but that may have been too easy...
Walter B on May 23, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This question was emailed to me for response. I've already replaced this back tire since the purchase in July of 2015. My memory is that these Dunlop tires do NOT have the bar and shield. Tires that I purchased directly from Harley did have the bar & shield logo.
Does it say Harley Davidson on the tire?
A shopper on Apr 16, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The one I bought does say Harley Davidson and has the harley log between the two
Im ordering a 21" 3.5" wheel are these the right size tire?
Del T on Sep 23, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I wish I could answer with some confidence; however, after much research to ensure my response was correct it's become apparent that HD doesn't want anyone to know the rim width of stock wheels. That being said, the MH-90 fits the 21 on my '02 Dyna Wide Glide.. I believe it's a 3.5.. I hope this helps.

Dunlop D-402
The D-402 is the stock tire used by H/D on cruiser models. There is a reason they use this tire - IT WORKS. It has a stiffer sidewall than other options. If it gets a flat, you have a better chance of riding it slowly to a safe area to stop. I've got over 30,000 on my Ultra so this is my third D-402 for the rear.
DennisKirk had the best price out there and they delivered the correct tire as promised and on time. Can't ask for more than that.

Yer Basic Harley Tire
A good, dependable tire for a Harley bagger. This is the fifth or sixth I've put on the back of this bike, and they've been consistently dependable. I get about 11-12K on an FLHTC, they stick reasonably well in the rain and go 'round corners at speed without any weirdness. What else can you ask for in a bagger tire? Oh, yeah, the DK price is pretty good, they're in stock and shipping is cheap/free. Nice.

One note: the D402 is the tire both Harley and Dunlop recommend for this bike, even though Dennis Kirk's "Fitment" page does not list the 1990 FLHT, and DK's "tire finder" page spits up an obsolete K291T for old baggers. Somebody ought to fix that...

D402 Great Overalll Tire
Great tire with excellent over all performance. Weather riding in the mountains of Arizona or the slippery roads in Upper Michigan this tire inspires confidence and handles a fully loaded bike with ease. Tire wear (with my aggressive riding style) gets me 8 to 10 thousand miles.

Great Value
Second tire purchase from D. arrived on the day they were promised, packaging was top-notch.
the Tires....excellent Dunlop Quality...prior Dunlop tire (same as this) was installed during March 2010 onto a 2005 HD Electra Glide Classic (FLHTCI), and lasted for a total of 14,000mi. Front tire (Dunlop 402) had a total of 30, required replacement also. Tires are installed on spoked rims with tubes. Purchased both tires on a tuesday, were on the bike by saturday.
OVERALL--put many miles on my Dunlop 402 tires, and feel that they are good value for the money.
