Shop The Best UTV Winches
Winches are great for two things when it comes to your UTV: Pulling things with your UTV, and pulling your UTV with other things. A winch is the kind of tool that you don’t really think you’re going to need, until you really, really do. Whether you are pulling your side by side out of the mud or pulling your buddy’s machine out of the mud, you’re going to be glad that you have a winch to do the heavy lifting. Here at Dennis Kirk, we like to work smarter not harder. That’s why we carry a great selection of side by side winches from great brands like Moose and Warn.
When choosing a winch, there are a few factors to consider. The main things to consider are pulling capacity and the rope material. We’ll give you a little rundown of each.
Pull capacity is dependent on the size of your machine. That being said, for the vast majority of side-by-sides, we’d recommend a 4500 lb. winch. You could go bigger, but we don’t recommend going any smaller. UTVs are quite heavy, and if you find that your winch is too small, it could damage your winch or UTV.
The next thing to consider is the material of the rope or cord. Your two options are synthetic rope and wire. Wire is more durable and longer lasting. But, it’s also heavier, harder to work with, and more dangerous if it were to snap. Synthetic rope, on the other hand, is easy to work with and very light, but it frays much easier and won’t last as long. Still, through good care and appropriate use, a synthetic cord can last a long time.
Once you have found the right winch, it's time to find the rightwinch mounts. If you have any further questions, you only have to ask! Our staff will help however they can. And once you have decided what you need, place your order. We will have it shipped out as quickly as possible.
