Tracks are made to supply traction on almost every terrain, but even the most rugged lugs are useless on ice. That’s just one of many instances where studs can be of value. Studs can offer you more than just traction on ice. Studs add traction on all kinds of surfaces, especially in sparse or hard packed snow. Here at Dennis Kirk, we are firm believers in making sleds perform to the best of their ability. For many riders, the first step towards peak performance is studs. That’s why we’ve stocked such a great selection of snowmobile studs for you to choose from. Whatever you need, you’ll find it here.

When it comes to studs, bigger is not always better. There is a certain sweet spot that you should be aiming for, and that sweet spot is dependent on the track that you’re running. More specifically, it’s based on lug size. If your studs are too short, they’ll be useless. If they are too long, they might bend or break. Generally speaking, you’ll want a stud that is ¼ inch to ⅜ inch longer than you lug height. ¼ inch would be best for intermediate riders, while ⅜ inch would be better for the most aggressive of riders.

Our studs come in a great variety of lengths ranging from 1.143 inches all the way up to 2.02 inches. We carry a great selection of brands like Woodys, Stud Boy, and Fast-Trac and with our diverse selection, we will be sure to have whatever you need.
