Snowmobile Skid Plates & Guards

If you have invested a small fortune in your snowmobile, you might want to think about spending a fraction of that for a skid plate to protect it. Think of snowmobile skid plates as a kind of insurance. They will help protect the bottom of your machine from downed trees, limbs, rocks and other obstructions, some of which you may not see until it is too late. If you like to go fast, or if you like to take your sled into rough country, it is smart to install a skid plate to protect its soft underbelly. Spending a little time and money putting on a skid plate can save you a lot of down time when you hit that deadfall, rock or limb, not to mention the money you will be shelling out to mechanics or to buy a new snowmobile.

At Dennis Kirk, we carry a selection of premium snowmobile skid plates and guards to offer you and your machine solid protection. Whether you are looking for a-arm protectors or a sturdy skid plate, you will find what you’re looking for here. Browse our pages or type in what you’re looking for in the handy search box at the top of every page at Dennis Kirk. Our skid plates are made by well-known aftermarket manufacturers like Skinz and Sportech and provide great protection for your sled’s belly pan and front suspension. As a bonus, they look great and can also help keep ice and snow off your sled’s frame. Dennis Kirk carries rugged skid plates in various sizes and styles that can protect the front or the rear of your sled or its entire chassis.

We also carry products such as belly braces and A-arm guards to strengthen and protect your snowmobile A-arms to help you avoid costly repairs. These are easy to bolt on and will save you major bucks beginning with the first obstruction you hit.
