Lead-Acid Snowmobile Batteries
When you just need a battery, the old stand-by lead acid snowmobile battery is all you need. They are the least expensive option and are readily available. For many casual snowmobilers, this is all they need. When well-maintained, lead acid batteries can last quite a while and perform as needed.
The downfall of lead acid batteries is that they require maintenance. They are shipped dry and require you fill them with electrolyte. The electrolyte can be picked up at most automotive shops. You will need to occasionally check the electrolyte levels to ensure they are at the correct level. And because the battery is not sealed, it needs to be mounted in an upright position.
For a maintenance-free option, check out our selection of AGM batteries.
