Not Sure if I made a good decision
V force reed petal broke off. Bought new reeds to replace the broken one, however it didn't fix the problem. Most likely messed up the cylinder walls. After doing more research, found out that the V force reeds should be checked ever 1500 miles for damage. This doesn't say much for their durability

Bought my 03 and noticed when I got it home a reed boot was cracked, called the dealer and stock reeds were more expensive than the Vforce. Easy to install.

Money Well Spent
Bought this reed package to replace my torn Boots on my '03 Rev 800 Very easy to install love the idea that the components are replaceable in pieces unlike the factory set.
Really woke my sled up.

How they should be from the factory
Had the infamous delaminating reed cages and boots that skidoo is known for. Was causing a dead cylinder. These are the best option over putting the same faulty parts back in that you would get from BRP. Sled runs great now.

Do you have to leave off your air box or can it fit back in place?
Jason W on Nov 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: You should use your air box. Jetting was calibrated with the air box in place, also it will draw in hot air and belt dust without it. Re installing the air box is challenging with V force reeds as they move the carbs out a little farther. Use a little soap on the air box boots to help them slip over the carbs.
