Overview of Kenda Southwick II Tire

  • Created for those who like to play in the sand and mud
  • Tall knob depths for deep bite are on the front and rear tread pattern
  • Large radius support at knob base reduces knob roll in soft areas with hard base
  • Even at slow speeds the wide space between rows will self clean the tread
  • Standard race compound allows for increased wear durability
  • Also offers quick warm-up on cement start pads
  • Reinforced sidewalls and a lightweight 4-ply rated casing structure are also featured

NOTE:

Dennis Kirk recommends a new tube and rim strip when replacing a tube-type tire

Safety Warning:

Please consult tire manufacturers publication(s) and/or website(s) for information on tire care, safety, installation, maintenance, manufacturer’s warranty and other information. The tires used for your application must have a load index and speed rating equal to or greater than the tires fitted as original equipment.

Great Soft Terrain Tire
Great in sand and mud, loose trail. I ride a mix of gravel pits and Akeley, MN DNR trails and love this tire- I have it only on the rear of my '93 KDX200 at this point but will be putting the matching front on soon. I've used this tire for maybe a dozen+ hours of riding so far. Note that it is a soft terrain tire and it is "wiggly" on hard surfaces. The trade for loose hook-up is worth it, but some might prefer a soft/intermediate tire for the trails.

Looking like a great front tire so far
Just now trying this Kenda front but so far I'm impressed! No surprise though all other Kenda I've tried have been great!

Southwick
Great tire after a bit of use, a bit grabby when new and square edged! Currently on a plated Honda CRF230! Excellent traction on wet gravel roads and loamy soil. Decent in sand and not very good on the road (typical of a knobby).
