Harley Sissy Bars

When you take 1960’s bikers and mix them with a law requiring grab bars, what do you get? Sissy bars. It might sound like a poorly worded joke, but it’s actually the story of how sissy bars came to be. Back in the 60’s, an excessively tall sissy bar was the perfect way to let the lawmen know how you felt about the new legislation. Over the years, they transitioned from a legal requirement into an iconic style that many riders still appreciate today. We are happy to help continue the tradition with our wide selection of sissy bars that has been specially curated to go with your Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

The sissy bars we carry vary in height from 9 inches to 30 inches. Despite the not-so-subtle height differences, they do have one thing in common: Every single one of them will look great on the back of a Harley.

We do have one unfortunately difficult choice for you. The choice between black and chrome for your sissy bar. For some of you, the choice might be clear. For others, less so. Just try to remember through all the deliberation that there really is no bad choice!

We’d also like to remind you that these sissy bars are purely for decorative and styling purposes. While they might support some weight, using them as a reliable back rest is not recommended. Will they support your pack or bag? Yes. Would we want to gamble someone’s safety on them? Definitely not. We have dedicated backrests for that.

If you find that you don’t like your sissy bar when it shows up at your door, don’t worry about it! Simply follow our no hassle return policy and send it right on back. But, you won’t know for sure until you place your order, so it seems about time we let you get back to shopping. Enjoy!
