I purchased these lines for my new race bike. I expected a kit or some sort of build procedure as with most other steel braided brake kits. That was not the case with these. I had these lines on and bled out in about 30 mins. They fit right up. They were marked left from right and they came with everything needed to put back in the stock position. No build required. A true bold on line kit. I am very very happy with them. The best part is that they were about $20-$30 less than similar kits.
I bought this braided brakeline about 2 yrs ago for my 18 y.o. Honda CB 750 Nighthawk. It was a huge improvement over the original hard rubber line. The bike now has nice clean brake fluid also--Stopping power is greatly improved now. Do yourself a favor and upgrade your brakelines--you will be amazed. The price from Denniskirk.com was under $50 and arrived within a couple of days of purchase. I am totally stoked and will continue to buy from Denniskirk.com.
This product has performed very well. I am pleased with the improvement. The lines and fittings are good quality, however, the fittings themselves do not appear to have been made especially for the model of bike so the fit was a little tricky. Overall, I would buy again.
I bought these for my 2008 Yamaha R1. They offer great stopping power which has helped on the track, and setting them up was pretty easy. One thing though, fitment wasn't as planned. DK says that they are good for 04-08 R1's, but the actual box from Russel says only 04-06. The left side banjo didn't fit due to a tab located on the caliper. It was easy enough to clip and file the tab away, but it made me concerned because it wasn't designed for this. Anyway, it worked and the brakes are great, and for the extra money I saved compared to other stainless lines on the market, I feel that the extra couple mins of work was well worth the money. Just wish DK knew about this before hand, maybe I'll let them know.
