Anytime you use other than the standard front/rear sprocket sizes, clearance must be checked. When converting to a smaller chain size, especially for racing, be sure to use the highest-grade O-ring chain available (heavy-duty non-O-ring acceptable for drag racing).


For Yamaha MX175 1979-81 has a standard 15 tooth front and Yamaha TY250 1974-77 has a standard 13 tooth front.
