ATV Wheel Spacers
As the demand for more performance and bigger tires rises, so does the requirement for ATV wheel spacers. Wheel spacers allow riders to obtain the performance and stability they demand from their machines. They are installed between the existing hub and the wheel to extend the mounting point of the wheel. Spacers range in thickness from as little as an inch all the way up to four inches.
One of the biggest advantages of ATV wheel spacers is that they increase the stability of your machine. By widening the stance, you are essentially lowering the center of gravity of the machine. This makes the machine less top-heavy. You will notice that your wheeler will stay more planted in corners and feel less tippy while side-hilling.
The second big advantage of adding wheel spacers is that they can allow you to install bigger tires. The addition of the spacers provides the clearance needed for bigger tires. Without them, the larger tires can rub against the shocks, struts, and exhaust. Increasing clearance is also great for adding snow chains.
Finally, adding wheel spacers and widening your machine’s stance can get your tires out of the ruts. When all the other machines are the same width, ruts can form, and you have no choice but to ride in them. If your machine is wider than all the others, you will be able to escape many of the ruts. By staying out of the ruts, you reduce the risk of bottoming out and will have a smoother rider with better control.
