ATV Master Links

ATV master links are the connecting links used to join the two ends of a drive chain, allowing for chain installation and removal without specialized tools. They are a small but essential component of the chain drive system on ATVs equipped with chain final drives.

Master links are sold by chain size, typically specified in pitch (such as 420, 428, 520, or 530), and must match the chain being used. Some master links use clip-style retention while others use o-ring or press-fit designs depending on chain type.
