ATV Heated Grips & Thumb Warmers
The best aspect of an ATV is that they can be ridden in all conditions. But when the cold sets in, a machine without heated grips and thumb warmers can be downright miserable to ride. Even when equipped with handguards and a windshield, your hands are upright and in the elements. By adding heated grips and a thumb warmer to your ATV you can ride comfortably and longer. At Dennis Kirk, you will find a great selection to choose from and you can expect to get your parts fast with our same day shipping.
There are two types of heated grips. The first, is a self-adhering element that is placed under your set of grips. The second type consists of new grips with the heating elements built into them. The advantage of the first type is that you can use whatever style grip you want. The best aspect of the second type of heated grips is that the heat element is closer to your hand. This will provide a more thorough and intense heat for your hands. Both options are available for thumb warmers as well.
Installation for both types of ATV handwarmers are simple and can be done by most home mechanics. The wires are simply tied into your machine’s accessory wire and grounded to the electrical system ground. Some kits have the on/off switches built into the heated grips, while others will need an included rocker switch installed on the bars.
