Will these work on a craftsman snow blower model 88694 with no battery?
Tom F on Oct 26, 2017
BEST ANSWER: If your snowblower has a headlight then these things will work off the wiring for the headlight. These heat tape works well. i have used these on at least 3 of my motorcycles. I try to ride every month so the heated grips work well ... take care.

These handwarmers beat OEM
These handwarmers work better tham OEM ! Rode in subzero weather and they kept my hands warmer than stock ones.
The instructions were detailed and the install went good.

Very easy to install
I had never installed grip heaters b4, took me 1/2 hr to remove old an install new ones. I replaced grips also that helped was able to cut old off.ive only been able to use on 2 trips due to lack of snow. The first use was 30 degrees n high setting was making my hands sweating. 2nd trip was in mid 20's ,low setting was perfect.

Also good bang for buck
I bought this in conjunction with the Kimpex thumb warmer kit. Measured the resistance to see how many watts it should draw. The high circuit measures 3.95 Ohms. The low circuit measures 5.9 Ohms. With 14VDC, that comes out to 49.6W vs. W on low. Wish most companies would advertise this information. Has yet to be installed, but seems to be the same quality of any other hand warmers I have installed in the past.

I have wired this and the thumbwarmer through the switch that comes in this kit. Says its rated for 15A at 12VDC, and it shouldn't be pulling more than 4A (bench measurement).
