ATV Drive Sprockets

When it comes time to replace your ATV sprockets, you want to be sure that you are using quality products. How do you know if you need to change your ATV sprockets? For one, if you are changing your drive chain, you should also change your sprockets. Using old sprockets can prematurely wear a new chain. Another way to tell if you need new sprockets is to examine the actual wear on them. Look for any damage to the teeth, which could include fractured teeth, cupping at the bottom of the teeth, shark finned teeth or just normal wearing. When the teeth are too worn, the chain will cling to the teeth longer, which causes more wear and can even lead to the chain jumping teeth.
