1948/1957 Panhead models require engine case machining for installation of a 1958/1984 style cam shaft needle bearing
Rocker arm ratios are as follows, Panhead 1.5:1, Shovelhead 1.43:1. 1980/1981 Shovelhead motors with anything higher than a valve lift of .430" will require valve guide to top spring collar clearancing
