Full Tilt Boogie 2023

Full Tilt Boogie

As the summer season begins to come to a close up in the north country, so does most of our outdoor motorcycle events and rides. There are still a few local shows yet to happen, but right now is also a great time to look back at some of the great events we attended this year. One event that has become a favorite of ours is the Full Tilt Boogie Chopper, Vintage Motorcycle, & Van Show. (Read Michael Lichter’s recap of the ’21 show)

Over the years the Full Tilt Boogie has been held in a few different locations, but this year it was back to the Keg and Case Market in St. Paul. Set on the old grounds of Schmidt Brewing, the nostalgic backdrop is perfect for a chopper and vintage show. Bikes, vans, vendors, and more line the parking lots set against the old industrial buildings. Live music throughout the day added to the vibe of the show. This year’s event took place on July 8th and it was a beautiful day for a motorcycle show.

The show saw many entrants in a variety of custom motorcycle classes as well as vintage van classes. Some of the Midwest’s best custom builders showed up with some new builders throwing their hat in the ring as well. For a local show, the quality of builds was tremendous and would certainly hold up against national competition. The vintage vans were equally as inspired.
