Bikers with Boxes

Posted on 22 Oct 2010 in Cruiser-Motorcycles, Harley-Davidson, Sport Bikes | 0 comments

Each year the christian-based charity, Samaritan’s Purse, ships millions of shoe boxes from the US out to needy children across the globe. These shoe boxes are filled with toys, clothing and “essentials” (like toothbrushes, soap etc) that these children rarely have the benefit of owning. The whole event is known as Operation Christmas Child, since the event ties in with delivery before Christmas.

For the 3rd consecutive year, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association Library in Charlotte, NC is holding their “Bikers with Boxes” rally that ties directly in with Operation Christmas Child. On Saturday October 23, 2010, more than 1,000 bikers are expected from around the country to take a ride and drop off their shoe boxes packed with goodies for the needy.

The library is open 9:30am – 5:00pm and all riders will receive a free commemorative patch.

So if you’re in the area or looking for an excuse to take a late season ride, head on over to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association Library and make it a great day, while contributing to a awesome cause.

Complete details, including directions can be found at the Billy Graham Library website.
