What was your intended objective when you started the build?

To turn the rust bucket of a bike into something presentable but mostly for her to learn.

What motivated you to start your project?

My best friends little sister, Leena, wanted to rebuild a motorcycle for her high school project.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

I had her paint the pant using a plastic wrap method that leaves interesting pattern. It came out pretty great.

What are you most proud of?

The bike is great but I’m really proud of how much information she learned and retained. She’s already thinking about her next build.

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

“That’s nice bike. Where did you have it built?” Of course I get to answer, “my best friends 17 year old sister built it in her spare time after school”.

Engine: The engine is an Ultima evo 80. The transmission is from Ultima as well. It had a 200 series rear tire and a 23″ front wheel.

Intake: Intake is from Ultima and the carb is a super shorty

Exhaust: custom made for this chassis

Transmission: 6 speed Ultima trans with belt drive primary

Frame: Unknown frame. Tig welded chromalloy

Suspension: DNA Springer

Wheels, tires and brakes: 4 poison front and rear brakes with 23″ front wheel and 16″ rear wheel. The rest has a 200mm wide rear tire

Finish – Paint: All the paint was done by Leena Salem, a high school junior. It was her first time painting.

Accessories: Leena also made her own handlebars using a tubing bender. She did her own wiring and installed a 4.5″ led headlight and taillight.
