What was your intended objective when you started the build?

To build a reliable chopper that would blow minds and still be able to ride across the country

What motivated you to start your project?

Seeing the old choppers from when I was young

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

People really like the frame work I did

What are you most proud of?

The overall bike rides great and it was all done my me in my shop.

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

Some love it and others hate it

Specifics

Make, Model & Year: 2011 Harley Davidson FXDC
Time spent: About 2 months build time over the winter season
Motorcycle cost: Originally bought wrecked for $2100
Money spent: Around $2000
Engine: Stock 98ci with a set of Andrew’s 48h cams I put in last season. Tuned with a power vision tuner
Intake: Efi with a K&N filter
Exhaust: TBR comp s 2into1 pipe
Transmission: 6 speed
Frame: Modified stock frame. Went 12 inches straight up and nothing out. Went from 29 degree rake to 32 degree
Suspension: Swapped out the 49mm forks and triple trees for a 39mm narrow glide then got 14 over tubes from Frank’s Forking. The rear suspension has been upgraded to a set of Legend RevoA 13inch shocks
Wheels, tires and brakes: Front wheel is a stock 9 spoke and upgraded the disk to a ChopperHauss rotor
Finish – Paint: Stock paint with some old style AMF stripes
Accessories: Detachable hard saddlebags from Viking are used for the long trips
