2007 Big Dog Chopper

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

To bring my daughter and I closer. To give us something together to do together.

What motivated you to start your project?

I built race cars for years and rode since young age. Always wanted to build my own bike. Our oldest daughter at time was 14 years old and very mechanically inclined. She had gotten into so bad was and this was a complete father/daughter relationship rebuilder

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

I wanted to paint the project myself, after the original owner of Big Dog found out I was rebuilding this salvaged totaled bike, he offered to do paint for my daughter. When We finally completed the rebuild, my daughter designed the paint scheme

What are you most proud of?

We brought the bike home loterally in crates. It had been in a head on accident and the only thing left was partial sections of the frame, motor and tranny. It had been under water in a flood for about 30 days when we picked it up.

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

When they see the pics of what we picked up after purchase, to the end product, they are absolutely moved.
