What was your intended objective when you started the build?

I just wanted to ‘hide’ the damage until I could get net tin to paint, so I could ride it until the new tin was ready. I wanted to do the best I could do without a complete repair, until the new tin.

What motivated you to start your project?

My Son had it painted and it was really slick, but first day someone RE’ed him causing him to dump it, denting the tank. He was so sick, he was going to let the insurance total it and take it. He let me hove it for what the insurance wanted for it.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

I airbrushed bullet holes in the dimple on the tank where the damage was.to ‘hide’ the damage. I thought it’d be better than the dented scratched paint. As it’s fall and I plan on getting new tin for next summer, this will allow me to ride it and not feel so bad about the dent. LOL

What are you most proud of?

The price, the airbrushed bullet holes to hide the dent.

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

I’ve gotten everything from, it looks great, to it’s wayyyy better then the dent that was there!

Frame: Stock Harley FDXWGi frame – Harley already raked & extended this model … doesn’t need much more to make it special.

Suspension: Stock Dyna Wide Glide

Wheels, tires and brakes: stock – the 06 FXDWGi has the 21 front bigger back than other stock Harley’s

Finish – Paint: Not sure of the guy that painted it, my Son had it done before someone rearended him. It red metalflack with a tribal sort of flame in white.

Accessories: Not sure of all of them, but it has Vance and Hines Big Radius exhaust, led license plate with signals brake in edge of plate holder. Mustang Wide Tripper seat with Diamond stitching.
