2005 Harley Davidson XL883Low

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

I thought of getting jugs & pistons for 1200. Instead I Ebay’d a 1200  w/ 12,000 miles. Once I was into It, I was all the way into It.

What motivated you to start your project?

The 883 got weak after 65,500. Smiles

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

The whole bike is unique, If you can’t find the rite bike, You build it. So I stripped the  05 XL883 down to the frame, New Motor first,  Then started ordering parts.. 14″ bars, with Burly extension kit, all led lighting,  New speed/odo/tach, 180 watt bluetooth amp & speakers, Extended mirrors, windshield,  4″fork ext, Fork seals, Oil, & Dust boots, Stainless discs, Pads, & Fluid.  Fat spoke wheels (21″ front). custom front fender, Both tires, Rear shocks w/2″ drop, Solo seat, All new paint & Clear coat, Exhaust wrap with guards, Decals & Striping,

What are you most proud of?

Everything!   100% Garage Built!  Front to back, Top to bottom, All my vision. Built with my dream bike in mind. My first Crush. The first shovel head,  The 1980 FXB Sturgis special.  The Black with Red accent. Duel belts, That was My pinup, My centerfold.    Now I’m in the process of changing a few small decals  to make Her a “VFW Riders” Tribute bike. I will be riding it to Posts around the Brainerd Lakes Area, Attend there monthly meetings,  To recruit and built a BLA charter of the VFW Riders. We Ride With Pride.

What do other people say about your motorcycle?
