2003 Harley Davidson FLSTC

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

I wanted to build the bike of my dreams and bring some of the West Coast style to the Midwest.

What motivated you to start your project?

Last year I attended the Donnie Smith bike show to support a couple of friends that were entering their bikes  into the Dennis Kirk garage build contest. Even though I was there to just support them, I experienced the excitement and joy they were experiencing by showcasing their hard work. this motivated me to build the bike of my dreams and gave me hopes to one day enter the Garage Build contest myself.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

After the modifications and upgrades I did to the bike, I was not able to reinstall the ignition coil back in its factory location. I had to come up with a way to hide and how’s the ignition coil with it still going with the flow of the build. I was able to customize the horn cover to house and hide the ignition coil. Now the ignition coil flows seamlessly through the styling of the bike.

What are you most proud of?

I am most proud of completing this bike build. I had family and some friends doubt that I could complete the build due to me not having any experience in bike building. To have completed this build on my own with minimal help from others is an accomplishment that I am proud of.

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

My Wife and kids think it looks OK, lol. But my motorcycle enthusiast friends and followers on social media think it looks amazing.
