2003 Custom chopper XL

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

I’ve had a WCC CFL frame for a while and wanted to build it a bit different than some of the CFLs you see running around. I narrowed the rear of the frame for a skinny 130mm double white wall tire. I modified the frame to fit a evo Sportster motor, bent up some 12” ape hangers and added the wassell style gas tank for that old school look.

What motivated you to start your project?

My motivation and inspiration comes from custom culture, magazines, shows, friends and just everyday life. There are so many killer builders so I’m always motivated for a new build. I’m always challenging myself.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

The oil tank was modified to set in between the seat post. Handlebars, sissy bar, battery box were all hand made. I shaved the lower legs on the front end for a clean look.

What are you most proud of?

The way the bike turned out is exactly what I wanted. Robert Pradke did an amazing job on the paint as usual. Buttskinz did a great job on the seat and Guss polished everything to perfection.

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

People love the bike, It always gets compliments.
