2001 Harley Davidson FLHTCU

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

To build a carbureted performance bagger that had 80s/90s BMX inspiration

What motivated you to start your project?

BMX was just huge when I was a kid. What bike you had, gave you bragging rights on the block. I wanted to bring that BMX part of my childhood to my adulthood

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

Creative I would say either making the Burly Brawler kit fit on the 2001 chassis, or the handlebar and riser selection

Unique would definitely be the paint

What are you most proud of?

All of it. It’s mine. It’s different. I think it captures that 80s/90s bmx style well

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

“took the touring out of the touring bike”

“why not just buy a dyna”

some people fuckin love it, some people don’t. The paint gets a lot of attention
