To pay tribute to 9-11
After 22 years of military service, I retired from the U.S. Army and wanted to have a Harley that showed MY Pride in my country. So I bought my 2000 FLSTC Softtail and started putting Lipstick on my Pig!
I wanted a 9-11 Tribute Bike, so
I had it painted Olive Drab Green at Guy’s Body shop, our local body shop, and found a pinstriper from Tuttle, OK named MIK who took my idea of an old WWII harley fresh off the battleground.
I had my Warrant Office ‘Squash Bug’ beltbuckle attached to the front bumper.
I wrapped the upper fork tubes with canvas and used Harleys Silencer style grips and foot pegs to give a gunship feel to it. On the primary cover I powdered coated them black and had the inspection cover engraved with Chief Petty Officer Chris Kyle ‘The Ledgend’ in his Honor.
My harley has a set of it’s own DogTags that replace the bell to ward off gremlins!
I attached two 30mm ammo cans on the back to store tools, fuel, camp gear, and a insulated bag for cold drinks on long trips.
I wrapped the pipes and after I got it running, drove it up to Hobart, Ozk to the Tommy Frank’s 9-11 Museum. I met General Frank’s and asked if he would look at my bike and sign the tank, and he Did!
On the back fender I had MIK paint LET’S ROLL in honor of Todd Beamer on Flight 96.
I keep working on my bike as I can afford a part at a time. It’s my work in progress and get more excited after each winters wrenching to try and keep it running.

I’ve taken it apart and put it back together six winters in a row and it still runs!

Thank you for your service to our great country. Your ride is a sweet beauty and you must be very proud of it; I know I would be. Minor suggestion, you need a 1911 strapped to either side (for quick access…just sayin’). Great ride, my friend.
