2000 Harley Davidson Fatboy

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

I like bobbers, I built a 100hp, 1275cc Sportster bobber a few years ago from the ground up and loved building it and riding it. I wanted to build another with a bigger base and ended up finding a 2000 fatboy basket case.

What motivated you to start your project?

This is my 3rd Harley build but first Twin Cam motor. I bought it as a side project a year ago and finally got the time and money to start rebuilding the way I want it.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

Still working on a few things, but I intend to make my own twisted exhaust pipes, as I did with my Sportster bobber. A set of red powdercoated wheels with white wall tires should contrast nicely with the black and chrome as well.

What are you most proud of?

This is my first twin cam build and I opted with a 100ci kit from S&S, ported and polished heads, barnett clutch, 6 speed tranny and 4 pistons brakes in front and rear. I will be proud of the end result if it runs and handles the way I want.

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

Nothing yet as it still is in the build process. 🙂
