2000 Harley Davidson Electra Glide

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

I wanted a full spec bagger…stretched bags, air ride, electronic centre stand, digital gauges, 23” front wheel, intricate paint work, LED lighting, bespoke braking system and custom controls

What motivated you to start your project?

I’ve built custom bikes for the past 10 years. Everything from bobbers to cafe racers, trackers and race bikes. However, I always had an itch to scratch….. a bagger. I was keen to go all out on the spec but still keep it subtle.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

There’s a number of aspects that I’m particularly proud of. However the process of losing the stock Harley aspects that other builds over look, is one of my favourites: Gauges – all custom digital units Switches – all bespoke units Ignition – removed and replaced with keyless Along with the big ticket items like air ride, 6 degrees of rake and the 23” front it sets it apart from other builds

What are you most proud of?

It has to be the excess of the bagger balanced with subtlety. I’m proud of the attention to detail… bespoke brake calipers, minimalist lighting and smooth lines, topped with a custom seat

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

Reactions so far have been “WOW”. In the UK, the custom scene is thriving. However, few venture into building more American derived styles. Consequently, when they see the air, electronics, paint work and riding style it really does stand out. The general public comment on how bright, sparkly and noticeable it is. Other builders and enthusiasts are quick to notice the engineering efforts and design.
