1998 Yamaha Blaster

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

I set out to take a different frame and strip it of everything I didn’t want and add back features I wanted, then build the vision I had in my head which was a bigger, better, and prettier quad like no other.

What motivated you to start your project?

Ever since I bought my first one in 2011, I always wanted a brand new Yamaha Blaster but they quit making them in 2006 so I decided to build my own the way I wanted it.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

I designed my own rear swingarm that was 3″ longer than stock but with a twist. I made it non adjustable all one piece and designed a tortion chain adjuster to keep it adjusted correctly at all times. I also created a custom airbox to replace the factory one for better filter choice and air flow.

What are you most proud of?

I am most proud of the function of the rear suspension as it was a custom design of mine that actually works very well and the over all look of the build as it came out exactly as I saw it in my vision.

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

All commenters love the build and some even picked up on the fact it looks like a Suzuki Quadracer due to the color scheme. That actually was my intent as I have liked that color scheme all my life. Suzuki just happened to put it on a quad before I could.
