1998 Harley Davidson FXDS

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

To get riding again.

What motivated you to start your project?

Gave up my 07 Night Train last Christmas, my wife and I both got the Covid real bad and thought we weren’t going to make it. We both recovered and I needed another ride, found “Eleanor” in a barn in Mountain Home Texas, with the help of America Cycle in Ingram Texas got her running again. I replaced the tires, put on forward controls on stripped off windshield, entered into intense clean up of spider webs and a couple years of rust and dirt.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

Still in progress but so far, the forward controls because when I rode her my elbows were literally touching my knees with the stock pegs and controls.

What are you most proud of?

Still to come…

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

How clean it looks for a 1998 barn find.
