1996 Harley Davidson FLSTC

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

Something affordable, fun, and reliable to ride with a nice look.

What motivated you to start your project?

Built a couple of hard tail short chops and was looking for something a little smoother with a similar look.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

Building the mounting pieces for the swing arm mounted fender was fairly creative. And then I decided that a fender rack would be good to keep the essentials off of the paint. Was going to go without a windshield and then a friend sent a windvest home with me and I messed around with mounting it and it just worked. The windshield just disappears into the build and works fairly well when running down the road.

What are you most proud of?

I like the whole build. It was super fun to put together. I think the color choice is something I really like. It makes the build pop. Another cool thing about the paint is it was done by my local College of Technology / Auto Collision repair students.

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

Have had a lot of great comments. But my most favorite was from a old school bike friend of mine. He said ” I thought there was no way you were going to take that Heritage and cut it up and be able to make anything out of it, but you nailed it”
