1991 Harley Softail

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

To make a trike nobody else had and do it on the cheap.

What motivated you to start your project?

My wife wanted a trike since we are getting older. I couldn’t afford one, so I made one.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

I think maybe the paint. Black base, olive drab, desert tan, and metalic brown. I wet-sanded it all and then cleared it.

What are you most proud of?

Most everything was used including the trike axle, wide glide front end and 16″ front tire. The exhaust is a cut down bagger set, 39 ford taillights and old victoian hardware on the rear compantmen door. I modified the flat box to accept a stock softail seat pan, seat is boa. The only thing not second hand or fabricated is the complete electrical system from Dennis Kirk.

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

Cool fender ornament. The flying pig is because i told everybody i would ride a trike when pigs fly.
