1984 Harley Davidson FXRT

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

To bring it back to life and back on the road where it belongs

What motivated you to start your project?

My uncle bought the bike brand new back in 1984. A few years ago my wife wanted to get into motorcycles and got her own that she rebuilt. She said I should get one too. I did get a project bike, 1984 Kawasaki zn700 shaft. My uncle brought up his bike that had been sitting for 10 years, he could not ride anymore, so I offered to fix it up if he wanted to sell or turn to trike. Told me if I get it running, its mine. Started the rebuild in 2020 and been riding it since. Put 2000 miles on it so far so it now reads 15000 miles

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

I got the original add on radio working. Might have screwdriver involved but still has it

What are you most proud of?

Just bringing back a piece of Harley history is good enough for me. You don’t see many FXRT’s running around and kind of is funny how no one realizes it is a Harley

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

I did a really great job from what it was….and I love the screwdriver
