1981 Harley Davidson FXS

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

I wanted a custom chopper style bike with horsepower and looks to match this bike was a ground up built all by myself with all my custom fabricated parts that are one of a kind just simple but flashy

What motivated you to start your project?

At the time I was thing about building my bike I was living in San Jose ca in the 90’s Calif had raised their freeway’s speed to 65 mph to 70 mph still riding and kick starting my 81 shovelhead I wanted something to keep up with traffic a little bit better

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

Everything on the bike that bike builder will notice being in Calif for 31 years I was a prototype precision fabricator of main frames and sheet metal products for the semiconductor industry fabricated everything for this bike making my rear fender removable, taking wrecked strut’s to the seat pan and everything thing else to complete my build everything is power coated underneath my House of Kolors candy paint putting things to and taking them apart hundreds of times to make a prefect fit

What are you most proud of?

The whole build from the ground up start to finish done by myself and no one else knowing the right people to get parts and products was a great help specially the guy that got my paint supplies great thanks to him

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

They couldn’t wait for me to get it done seeing the time and knowledge I put into it from the start to the finish cause it took like 3 1/2 years to complete my money was tight knowing the cost of living in the Bay Area is expensive as Hell but when it was done it was simply bad ass to my friends

Videos

Pics from start to finish I know it’s nothing like the big time bike builder out there cause I seen them living in Calif but for ur normal Joe biker I think it’s pretty dame good
