1978 Harley Davidson FXE

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

To get it running.

What motivated you to start your project?

It was bought new in ‘78 by a riding buddy. Unfortunately due to health problems he can no longer ride so he was selling it. It had sat for 18 years since 2002 and I wanted to bring it back to its former glory for him.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

Not very creative, but I learned how to paint so that every bit of the build was done by me. I swapped the tank and controls to a split flat side tank and tank mounted dash.

What are you most proud of?

Rebuilding the engine.

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

Most people are impressed with before and after pics.
