1972 Custom Build Bobber

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

To have fun building my own custom bike from my mind. Most bikes I have built I put them back together to original, this one is my own creation.

What motivated you to start your project?

I had this image of this bike in my head. I pulled the motor out of another bike to rebuild it and I decided to go another route and build this bike in my head.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

Fabricating the gear shifter, precisely drilling all of the holes to match the upper brass portion of the shifter which is actually a foot shift peg. I have not seen very many right-handed shift bikes so I wanted to do something different.

What are you most proud of?

Seeing the bike complete and firing it up for the first time.

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

Not many have seen the bike yet, it’s still winter here in ND, but those who have expressed interest in it and complimented it.
