1961 HD FLH

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

Wanted a 1956, year I was born. Pans were the coolest then, shovels were for the newbie’s.

What motivated you to start your project?

On going. Owned the bike since 1977. Probably third rebuild. Was my daily rider through the eighties. I moved on to more modern Harleys cuz my job was all over the states and I was traveling on my bike for the first few years. Currently own 6, wish I still had the other dozen I’ve owned!

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

Hand shift, stomper clutch, apes and fishtails. Leftover paint from a buddy. Guess the color?

What are you most proud of?

Still runs, still ride it, not a lot but still gets out.

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

Pretty cool, wish I had one.
