The 2022 Hay Days event hosted by the SnoBarons and presented by Progressive Insurance saw the legendary event return to full form! The Unofficial “Kick off to Snowmobile Season” saw an overwhelmingly large turnout both Saturday and Sunday from folks all around the country to participate in this two day event in North Branch, MN.
If you’ve never been, Hay Days is Mecca for snowmobile enthusiasts. All the major manufacturers of sleds, apparel and more come to showcase their latest offerings for the upcoming season with massive booths. Arctic Cat even unveiled their new Catalyst snowmobile chassis at this year’s event. And we’re right in there with them every year with our massive Dennis Kirk setup full of the best snowmobile gear!
If new isn’t your style, you can take a trip through the giant swap meet section. The swap is filled with used/vintage parts and accessories you won’t find anywhere else! This is also the place to buy a used snowmobile. With cash in hand, riders can find and take home just about any make and model of sled that they desire. If you’re travelling to next year’s Hay Days swap (or any other swap), be sure to keep these 5 tips in mind.
But people are not just here for the shopping. Hay Days is also famous for their Snowmobile Grass Drag Races. Drivers reach speeds of up to 150mph on snowmobiles that produce 800+hp across a grassy plain. In fact, a new world record of 163.80mph was set this year. In addition to the grass drags, there are high flying free stylists on snowmobiles, ATVs and UTVs as part of the Big Air Tour. And who could forget the adrenaline pumping UTV races that take place at the dead center of it all.
