What was your intended objective when you started the build?

To build a trail sled out of a new race sled not one that had been pounded to death. I wanted it to handle like a standard xrs with the power the RS would put to the snow.

What motivated you to start your project?

I am a x snocross rider and I turned 50. I wanted a high strung trail sled that was different than what what everyone else was riding. Always loved the snocross sled and wanted to have one that was as close to perfect as i could get it for everyday riding.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the sled?

Fitting a mid size windshield on the sled when it doesn’t come with one. Looked great when i was finished

What are you most proud of?

Getting that thing to run run like a race sled with the Eurpean heads and low octane programming. For anyone who has done this they know it isnt just put it together and it ripps!!! The combination of clutching gearing and the fuel octane mixing that it takes to create a hot pipe to get the power out of these things was a challenge I wasn’t expecting to deal with.

What do other people say about your snowmobile?

The People that know what it is have a lot of awesome comments. It is a great feeling to build something that is new yet a bit over the top.

Drivetrain: Clutching is a combination of many conversations with Gregg Goodwin and some past knowledge of clutching that makes this ripp!! The sled needs to come off the line like a snowcross sled and also be able to shift out for speeds in the 90s. Gearing has been brought up to almost a stock 600.
Tunnel/Chassis Modifications: Extra idler wheels
Suspension: Shocks Revalved softer all the way around to specs of cross-country racing . Front springs replaced to softer. Rear center spring replaced and the rear springs custom bent to fit off a heavier 850 renagade spring.
