2016 Arctic Cat M8000

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

To be a top contender

What motivated you to start your project?

For racing

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the sled?

Making my Cat 800 motor a 813cc while staying in the 2% overbore rule for racing. Using 86mm Polaris XC 800 pistons and making them work. It involved decking the case, changing the skirt design on the pistons and turning my new profiled domes in my lathe.

What are you most proud of?

The motor that I have built. I have countless hours into it. And I’m pretty much positive that I’m the first one to use the Polaris XC pistons in the Cat 800 HO motor.

What do other people say about your snowmobile?

Clean and well thought out. Most say it’s their favorite wrap they’ve seen.
