2004 Ski-Doo Summit

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

To take my mind off of my injury and my pain.

What motivated you to start your project?

I broke my back July 2, 2017. Had a rough go for a while, didn’t know if I would ever ride again. Severe pain took over my life, walking had to be learned again along with everything that goes along with walking, showering. Anyhow I decide March to pick up a project to pass the time in hopes I can ride this coming season.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the sled?

Made it my own, put the power plant I’ve always wanted in it, set up all controls to my liking. Also took a set of van amburg boards from a cat cut, modified and RE welded to work on my sled.

What are you most proud of?

The whole build, it’s one of a kind.

What do other people say about your snowmobile?

It’s not been out in public

A properly built up Rev is better than most new sleds. You should add the rev 440 bulkhead rienforcements as well.

Id take a well built rev over a new ski doo 850 any day. You should add the 440 bracing to your bulkhead to make it as tough as possible. I used to do the 440 bracing as well as a front skid bolt rivet plate on my revs. Grab an old street sign and cut it into two skid bolt plates for each side. It keeps the tunnel from kinking when you land crooked. A Rev can be made indestructable if you know were to stiffen them up
