2004 Arctic Cat Firecat

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

To have the fastest trail driven 2 stroke on the trails.

What motivated you to start your project?

The need for speed, uniqueness, and the legendary reputation of the Firecat. To be “that guy” who rides the two stroke turbo at sea level.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the sled?

Added a 1000 engine, turboed it and trail road it.  Drove it around New Brunswick once!  It looks stock.  The fuel system and timing was quite the challenge.

What are you most proud of?

The fact that it can be trail ridden with 10 psi.  Dynoed at 207 hp on pump fuel, and 288hp at 15 psi on race fuel at Dynotech.  Have run up to 24 psi of boost but just can’t get enough weight in the clutch.

What do other people say about your snowmobile?

He is trail riding a Firecat with a 1000 engine, and a turbo!???  That must be insane!
