2001 Yamaha SX600R

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

To have fun and have the first sled in my life that was worthy to be registered and hit the trail. 3 other prior sleds did not make it.

What motivated you to start your project?

My son Adam purchased his first sled for $250 and fixed it up. He decided it would be fun if dad also bought a sled so we could go trail riding together. I had so much fun building this sled and it was great to have my son involved as well

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the sled?

Brought it back from barn condition to looking really nice!

What are you most proud of?

My son and I did all of the work on the sled and my son custom made the upper suspension cross shaft which works really well.

What do other people say about your snowmobile?

Love the color That thing sounds awesome! This machine really rips! You’ve added a lot of value

I sure had fun working on this sled with you Dad. You’ve put more work into that sled than most people would’ve, and it shows. This sled looks and sounds awesome. Especially when it passes you on the lake..

NICE JOB! Hard to believe it’s 21 years old!….Had a girl tell me that one time….Looks like your build will work out better than THAT instance! (her dad was as mean as that sled looks!)

Good work! Almost as much fun as the father/son time spent twisting wrenches!

  • Jane says:
