1996 Ski-doo MXZ 583

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

I wanted to build a snowmobile that was cheap, reliable and easy to work on.

What motivated you to start your project?

I bought the sled about 2 years ago and fell in love with it. The sled was cheap and alittle beat up but had potential. The sled ran good but the suspension was completely shot. So instead of rebuilding all the suspension I decided to swap all the suspension off of a long track formula 3.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the sled?

136″ skid and track swap.

What are you most proud of?

I’m most proud of the fact that I did all the work myself considering that this is my first sled and the first time ever “modding” a snowmobile.
