1985 Yamaha Xlv

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

To build the ultimate vintage for deep snow and climb nasty hills !

What motivated you to start your project?

Well it all started back in 2012 when we decided to leave the trail sleds at home.
We do a boys weekend trip to a friends cottage in Halliburton Ont.   We thought it would be fun to take the 340 enticer’s up and tour the old logging roads and ATV’s trails.  We brought up 7 340 enticer’s on a 4 place sled trailer.  That year the snow was deep !!!  We spent more time pushing the enticer’s through the snow.  We did find that if we could get one sled to break the trail the rest could make it.   So the next year I built a Phazer with a 144” 1.25 lug.  It work good but still had trouble in real deep snow and climbing hills.
After that trip I started looking for a track and skid to build the ultimate vintage deep snow sled !!!
It would be Named Powder pig !!!!

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the sled?

Getting the 159” 2”paddle track and suspension to fit.
And the custom built tunnel extension I cut with a sawsall

What are you most proud of?

The hood and the mud flap ….they make the sled classy

What do other people say about your snowmobile?

That’s awesome !  Never seen anything like it
