1982 Ski doo Citation 4500

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

To have a older sled that handles the deaper snow conditions better and looks more aggressive

What motivated you to start your project?

I had a buddy of mine I would ride with that had a ski doo citation 377cc and I had a ski doo tundra with the single Cylinder  we would rid

e around the property. the citation would do circles around my tundra. The citation had more of a playful feeling and was faster but my tundra would flot better on fresh powder a couple years later I traded the tundra for a 1982 citation 4500 to an older gentleman that was looking more for a trappers sled the citation just need a tune up the track was pretty worn out so I was going to change the track but trying to find one was almost impossible but I learned that there was a kit that would make the sled fit a newer style track and it was longer too. Got me thinking haw good would it actually be with a longer 121 track on it and it snowballed from there once I started to build it

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the sled?

The most creative thing I’ve done so far would be the front ski’s. I made a set of powder ski’s out of a set of summit ski’s I had laying around gives better handling and floatation in the powder even gives a little more of a taller stance

What are you most proud of?

I’m most proud of the way it handles and floats in the powder with the upgraded ski’s and longer track

What do other people say about your snowmobile?

It Carves better then a stock sled would
