1968 Skidoo Elan

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

Make it functional

What motivated you to start your project?

I’ve owned elans all my life.  Nothing goes across the snow better than an old single cylinder elan.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the sled?

Super bar risers and some old bedframe tunnel supports

What are you most proud of?

The fact that its the original engine and its a two owner sled.

What do other people say about your snowmobile?

It’s ugly and slow but it’s somehow impossible to stop riding it.

  • Ted Russell says:

Ski doo did not make a elan in 1968.

The next time I read a weblog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as much as this one. I mean, I do know it was my choice to learn, however I really thought youd have something fascinating to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about something that you can fix when you werent too busy in search of attention.
