What was your intended objective when you started the build?

I wanted to restore it to perfection,I knew what I wanted  but it being the first time I ever restored anything I knew it was going to be a big task,I took it one  thing at a time and when I was  satisfied  with the end result I moved on to the next thing

What motivated you to start your project?

Well I know the original  owners of the snowmobile  and it has a lot of history attached to it,they always  told me about this snowmobile they owned and that it had been sitting in a barn for 25 plus years,I had a lot of interest  in getting it back running for them,but came to find out that engine was  siezed up and it would cost  more than they wanted to spend to get it running  again,it sat for  a couple more years  in my garage  because they wanted to just put it behind the barn to rot,the day I aquired it I tore it down and began my research  on it.come to find out  it was an all original numbers matching machine  that still had all the hard to find pieces still on it.I thought it deserved to be restored at that point,this would be a first for me.

 

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the sled?

Well the whole sled was a big accomplishment for me I think,and that’s what I think it makes it creative to me.

 

What are you most proud of?

Taking it back to the original owners to see when it was completed,I took it to the hometown old home days parade  where they were able to see it come thru the parade.

What do other people say about your snowmobile?

I hear a lot of “Great  Job” and “It’s  Beautiful”
